This is a very rare piece of Mid-Century Shafford Redware, best known for their Halloween black cats, it’s a 7” 1954 home bar novelty light featuring a bartender whose nose lights up red and indicates that the Bar is Open. There is a much more common version of this lamp available that was manufactured in the late 60’s and early 70’s but this design was only manufactured between April and September of 1954. It is in great fully working condition with the original red nose bulb. The cord is in excellent condition. This would make a fine addition to any home bar or bar-ware collection.
